Comedian Druski has secured a multiyear agreement with Netflix and his production company, 4LIFERS Entertainment. The deal launches with a new semi-scripted comedy series titled Collect & Praise. The show is scheduled to premiere on December 1.
The series follows a pastor and his deacon who manage a megachurch while prioritizing financial gain over religious duty. Druski plays the pastor, a role derived from a viral character. Mike Epps portrays the deacon. The character originated in a short-form sketch posted on January 12. That specific video has accumulated more than 9 million likes on TikTok.
Druski stated in a press release that the partnership provides the resources to expand his comedy foundation. He described the move as a chance for his team to develop original programming for a global audience. Netflix will also license existing content from Druski’s catalog. This includes the titles Coulda Been Love, Coulda Been Daddy, and Coulda Been Records Auditions, alongside his viral skits.
John Derderian, who oversees Next Gen Content at Netflix, commented on the signing. He noted that Druski has a talent for creating characters that generate discussion. Derderian stated that the new series is just the start of their collaboration.
The announcement arrives one day before Druski hosts Saturday Night Live on November 7. He will be the first digital creator to host the program.
