CeeLo Green has canceled all nine dates of the Gnarls Barkley tour scheduled for November. The announcement came on Friday, removing the band from the calendar just weeks before the first show was set to begin. The tour was originally planned to support the duo's recent album, "Atlanta."
Ticketmaster confirmed the cancellation by updating the event pages for all remaining stops. A message on the site tells fans that the organizer has cancelled the events and that refunds will be issued to the original payment method once funds are received from the promoter. Fans do not need to take any action to secure their money.
One of the affected dates was a show scheduled for Nov. 10 at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta. The venue is represented by Live Nation, which also announced the change on its own platforms. The cancellation covers the entire run of shows, not just the local performance.
Gnarls Barkley, consisting of Green and producer Danger Mouse, has a history of short-running tours and spontaneous breaks. In a statement released through his social media accounts, Green addressed the news directly. "Still Shocked, September. It has been a weird and unpredictable year, and after some thought and reflection, I have had to step away from performing for a bit," Green wrote.
The duo previously hinted at the possibility of a hiatus. In 2023, Mouse expressed uncertainty about whether they would continue touring together. "We have never had a plan on what we are going to do or if we could but we agreed to just keep doing it, and now we are in a final moment of this tour," Mouse said at the time. He described the group as being in a "weird place" and noted that they were not sure if they would record another album.
The band has been active in the studio since 2022, when they released "Atlanta." Before that, their last major album was "St. Elsewhere," which was released in 2006. The group has won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2007 for the song "Crazy." They have also been nominated for a Grammy in 2024, though they have not announced any new music projects since the release of their latest record.
