TSA officers at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport stopped a carry-on bag containing a set of three claw-like blades resembling Wolverine and Freddy Krueger accessories. The discovery occurred during routine screening at the security checkpoint.

Douglas Linn, a TSA officer, identified the object while reviewing X-ray images. Linn stated that he spotted three blades and distinct claw-like features, noting he was amazed when the item emerged from the bag. He added that he had never seen anything like the object during his two years with the Transportation Security Administration.

Dennis Oishi, acting as the property search officer, conducted a bag search to confirm the prohibited item. After Oishi removed the blades, the passenger remembered the items and voluntarily abandoned them at the checkpoint. The traveler initially told Oishi he was unsure if anything sharp was in the bag.

Ann Rhoades, the responding supervisory TSA officer, described the item as one of the most unusual she had encountered in her seven years with the agency. Rhoades noted that the passenger said he was not sure about sharp objects in his bag, adding that obviously, there was one.

Officials characterized the item as a mix between Wolverine-style claws and Freddy Krueger blades, suggesting some accessories are better suited for movie screens than airplane cabins. The passenger left the checkpoint without the blades, which were processed as abandoned property.
